Patch 1.06 is live but light — just stability fixes. Here's what's still broken in Universe Mode, and why the real news is the confirmed 1.07 update that's coming next.
If you were hoping for a massive content drop or a major gameplay overhaul, you might want to lower your expectations. The official WWE 2K26 Patch 1.06 is incredibly light, with the only official note being a generic "Stability and Performance Improvements." It's a standard maintenance patch designed to clean up server issues and prepare the backend for bigger things to come.
Despite the "stability" claims, the community is still very vocal about ongoing, game-breaking issues — particularly in Universe Mode. The most frustrating bug right now involves Rivalries glitching out. Players are reporting cutscenes failing to trigger, rivalries deleting themselves mid-month, or the game automatically booking the wrong superstars in rivalry matches, completely ruining long-term storylines.
The real news from this update isn't what's in it, but what 2K announced at the very bottom of the notes. The development team officially confirmed they are "hard at work on the next major update (1.07) coming soon that addresses a variety of items across multiple game modes."
This is the massive patch we've been waiting for. We expect major bug fixes for both Universe Mode and MyGM, potential gameplay tuning, and hopefully, a permanent fix to the broken rivalry system. Stay tuned, as we will break down the full 1.07 patch notes the moment they drop.
While we wait for 2K to fix the in-game booking logic, you don't have to put your Universe Mode or MyGM on hold. You can take full control of your experience right now.
